How it works

What is Glutathione?

Glutathione is a tripeptide, a chain of three amino acids: glutamate, cysteine and glycine. It is made mainly in the liver and is present in nearly every cell, where it is one of the body's principal antioxidants.

Glutathione takes part in neutralizing reactive oxygen species and in the liver's processing of many compounds. Because it is broken down in the digestive tract, researchers have studied other routes of delivery, including injection.
